Value based interviews and what they mean
To recruit people with the right values and behaviours to undertake important roles in the right way an employer needs to know what a candidate’s values are.
Values are important and lasting beliefs or ideals, usually shared by members of a culture about what is good or bad and desirable or undesirable. Values have a major influence on a person’s behaviour and attitude and serve as broad guidelines in all situations. It is an individual’s values that will determine their behaviour in most situations.
A value-based interview will be designed to see how your express your values through your actions and answers.
