We are Whiteley Homes Trust, and we’re recruiting for Care Assistants within our Nursing and Residential Care Teams. As a Care Assistant you will have a variety of day to day duties however no two days will ever be the same, looking after people who need your help will be an extremely rewarding role. You will be working alongside a team of care professionals, providing an exceptional level of care to our residents and their families and we couldn’t do this without an amazing team.

As a Care Assistant you will :

· Provide person centred care for our residents in line with the 6 Cs of care practice, Compassion, Caring, Commitment, Competence, Communication and Courage

· Enable and empower residents to lead as full and active life as possible

· Observe and assess the changing needs’ of residents and share this information with the care team

· Help with daily personal duties, feeding, washing and generally looking after people.

There are set shifts which are dependent on the care area you’ll be working in, however, you can expect to work on a 2 week rotating shift pattern, with the earliest start being 7:30am and the latest finish being 8pm, typically working every other weekend.

What we’re looking for:

Passionate and caring people, if you have previous experience in a Care Assistant position that would be great, if not, we have a fantastic training programme. For more experienced Care Assistants a Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2, NVQ Level 3 in Adult and Social or Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Adult Care would be beneficial.

Salary is dependent on previous experience in a Care Assistant role and qualifications achieved so far, and ranges from £9:25 per hour to £10.75 per hour.

Ideally people who drive or who can get to use easily. We will also require you to be fully vaccinated for Covid 19 by the 11th November 2021. All employees will also be required to be DBS checked.
