Job Title: Strategic Property & Asset Manager

Location: Walton on Thames

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Salary £40,500 to £49,730 depending on experience

Closing date: 14 February 2022

Surrey Choices is passionate about enabling people with disabilities to lead meaningful, independent lives in their local communities. Through our Changing Days Programme, we aim to fundamentally change the way we support disabled and autistic people living in Surrey. We want people to be in the heart of their local communities and to be included in those activities that many people take for granted, whether that is getting a job, learning new skills, joining the local allotment association, or joining the gym.

To ensure the effective delivery of our Changing Days Programme, we are looking for a Strategic Property & Asset Manager to lead on the implementation of our Property Strategy. This will involve reconfiguring our current estate to facilitate a move from segregated, specialist buildings, to a model that is truly community focused. The places we occupy will be integrated into the heart of local communities, with state of the art facilities for all members of the community to enjoy. With strategic partners, in particular Surrey County Council and Surrey’s many District and Borough Councils, we will develop a number of new community hubs with shared premises which enhance local communities.

As the Strategic Property & Asset Manager, you will be reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, and you will work closely with our talented Senior Leadership Team to deliver on our shared vision. You may have a public sector or charity background, but we would welcome applications from anyone who shares our Core Values and who is committed to making a real difference through their work to the people we support.

While it is preferred that candidates are RCIS qualified, this is not essential. What is more important is a successful track record in overseeing complex projects aimed at reconfiguring an organisation’s property portfolio to deliver enhanced outcomes for those people and communities.

What we can offer you:

25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Access to a generous pension scheme
Automatic entry into Perkbox benefit scheme
Ongoing supervision, training, and career development
Employee Assistance Programme
£300 ‘Refer a Friend’ Scheme
45p mileage allowance
Employee Recognition Award Scheme
To be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt
Initially the post is offered as a 2-year fixed term contract with the potential for extension.
