Live-In Back Up Caregiver

The role:

This is a bank live-in care position. Our live-in caregivers live at their client’s home, providing them with companionship, medication, and personal care support. As bank staff, you will be required to step in to cover for live-in caregivers if there was a last-minute unavailability.

Each bank shift covers one week (seven days) and you will be asked to offer a minimum of two weeks in the month when you can be on bank. You choose which weeks of the month you wish to be bank, which gives you a great deal of flexibility and gives us the opportunity to plan and provide high quality and consistent care to our clients.

You will be paid a wage of £150 per each week of bank to train with Home Instead and maintain your knowledge and skills. In addition to the weekly pay, if you are called to work on your bank shift, you will be paid our standard live-in wage which is £800 per week.

We are looking for:

Minimum of six-months experience as a live-in caregiver or home carer
Calm, positive, enthusiastic, and dependable
Caring, patient, compassionate people
Full UK driving licence is desirable
Good written and spoken communication skills including fluency in English
You must have the right to work in the UK
This role is subject to a DBS enhanced disclosure (paid for by Home Instead)
