Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 (depending on experience)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and motivating professional to join the halow team in the key senior operational management role of Head of Care Services.

In simple terms you will lead and manage a network of small supporting living houses in the local community and our one-to-one outreach service, which helps young adults with their independence, in their communities. The number of services and staff under your wing is likely lower than you will find elsewhere for the salary on offer. This is because the heart and purpose of the role is to genuinely inspire, listen and challenge; to improve the lives of the young people we work with and to nurture and motivate your staff team so that they will continue to feel motivated and encouraged in their roles. In turn we will all inspire the wider community, our stakeholders, partner organisations and donors through communicating the great work that is being done by halow.

We believe that guiding our care services in the next stages of development represents a fantastic opportunity for someone with the passion to help us continue to grow halow over the next 5 years and beyond. We are also focused on supporting and investing in our employees. If you have the ambition, skills, positivity and drive to make a genuine difference, please read on to see if this role is for you. To be considered for interview, you must be:

  • Passionate about the outcomes we achieve for young people, to set them up for the next steps in their lives.
  • A strategic and creative senior manager and leader with demonstrble experience and transferrable skills.
  • A strong communicator; able to lead, develop, promote, evaluate, and manage a high-quality service.
  • A skilled and efficient organiser of people and service; and able to utilise technology to support this.
  • Experienced in safeguarding and health and safety.
  • A skilled and effective manager of staff, with clear leadership skills.
