Buddies are fun, friendly and compassionate people with a genuine desire to support and encourage young people with learning disabilities.
We are looking for people to support learners in an outreach capacity on our fantastic community based learning programme, Building Futures. Working as a halow Learning Support Buddy you will provide highly person-centred 1:1 support to a Young Adult/s helping to promote life skills, independence, social skills, leisure opportunities, educational provision and community access.
Building Futures sessions run during term time from 10am to 4pm on weekdays, however, you would have the flexibility to pick up additional working hours in the wider halow buddy service as well.
Variable hour Learning Support Buddy roles are paid at £9.50/hour for Buddies aged 18-20; £9.74/hour for Buddies aged 21-22 and £10/hour for Buddies aged 23+. An additional rate of £50 per sleep-in shift in the Supported Living Houses is also available should you choose to cover extra shifts (but this is not a requirement of the role).
